Here at Stevenage, our 86 beds across 6 wards offer male and female inpatients a comprehensive range of therapies and treatments. From diagnosis and assessment in critical care, through to a secure restorative setting, our pathways are individually tailored and professionally supported. We offer a number of specialised therapies including Fire Setting Intervention and Sex Offender treatment programmes, alongside diagnostic assessments for Autistic Spectrum Disorders and Personality Disorders.

We are looking for exceptional, enthusiastic and motivated RMN Staff Nurses to join our expanding teams across our secure men’s and women’s pathway.

Successful applicants will work as members of a full multi-disciplinary team and will possess excellent clinical, team and communication skills together with vision and enthusiasm to develop the hospital’s service model. Previous forensic secure and/or acute experience is preferable, although applicants should have at least 6 months’ experience as a staff nurse preferably working in one of these settings.

Please note that advertised salaries are based on a 38.5 hour working week. We also offer 11, 22, 33 and 44 hour contracts, subject to the individual hospital’s availability.

Relocation assistance will also be provided for candidates relocating closer to the hospital.

Educational requirements:

  • RMN Qualified


  • RMN Qualified with Valid NMC Pin
  • Experience working within a team in a clinical setting
  • Experience working within a similar setting (preferable)
